Mr Dudley Moore
19th April 1935 To 27th March 2002
Dudley Moore was one of the greatest comedians, musicians, and actors of our time. He was born in London, England into a working class family. Classroom entertainer during his childhood this musical and acting talent would turn into a world class act. He won a scholarship to Oxford's Magdalen College and then toured America where he became a great success in the entertainment industry. He made a huge difference to the quality of people's lives; he was hilariously funny, a musical genius, a true friend to those that had the pleasure of his companionship and ultimately revered and admired by many. He was awarded an Oscar nomination in 1981 and was made a CBE in 2001. Sadly Dudley Moore's career was cut short due to numerous illnesses and he tragically died from a rare brain condition on 27th March 2002. He will be missed across the Globe but the memories of the joy that he spread and shared with us all will never be forgotten. Goodbye Dudley.
