Ernest Wiseman was born 27th November 1925 and was one of five children. He was loved for his popular comedy Act with Eric Morecambe - "Morecambe & Wise". Their 1st act was seen at the Empire Theatre in 1941 and developed for many years. Ernie was awarded an OBE in the peak of his career. He was a kind and loving man and his shows and performances brought laughter into many peoples lives. Ernie Wise was one of the funniest men in the entertainment business and it brings deep sadness that he is no longer with us. Sadly, following a series of heart attacks he died age 73 on the 21st March 1999 in Nuffield Hospital, Berkshire, England. He brought excitement, fun and laughter to our lives |
